Getting ears pierced this weekend , help?

When I got my mine they did one after the other. I hardly felt it. I don't think they put any numbing cream or anything even. Your earlobe is just skin. They sat me down, did one then the next, I paid and left. I'm a wimp to pain. I hate needles. I won't lie, I almost passed out, but that was more from fear after it was already done and over with. I've also had my cartilage upper ear pierced, my belly button and my lip. It's quite painless. Best advice, just don't get worked up over it thinking it will hurt.

This is so common after surgery. Most people have the same complaint. It will take a day or two until it goes away. Drink plenty of water and stick to soft foods. Try taking 2 Tylenol and 1 Ibuprofen together with plenty of food for pain. If it doesn't go away then call your Doctor.

Howdy, i went to the dentist yesterday to get an abscess/infected molar tooth out but the anaesthetic wasn't strong enough and she had already jiggled this metal thing in there and broke something up or cleared out the hole, i was prescribed amoxicillin and rescheduled for a fortnight`s time, last night i had no pains but this morning i noticed over night my gum/tooth is swollen and a little bit blood was sitting there , rinsed the blood with salty water and everything SEEMS cushdy, but i was wondering , whenever i have had mild tooth ace in the past i used to drink whiskey and burn that little fecker into submission, would it work on this tooth or is that a little too much?

General anaesthetic for c-section?

You would have to be extremely justified in your reason for wanting a general and not just because you are afraid of needles. A section is usually done under an epidural or spinal block, you most definitely won't just get gas an air (it's an operation!!). They only do general anaesthetic if it's an emergency and it can be risky to you and the baby. I have been told that if I needed a section then I would get a general because the epidurals don't work for me. I would hate this as general anaesthetics leave me feeling awful and I would want to meet my baby first. Also when you are in labour, you seriously don't care about needles you just want the pain to stop.

hi, I noticed a couple of day ago a big lump under my guinea pigs chin,so my dad phoned his mum(she used to work with pets) and her best guess was that it was a tooth abscess. As earlier my guinea pig chipped his bottom tooth,it was hal it's original size and the middle part of the tooth was exposed. Pregnancy and dental work = Scared?

I broke off a quarter of one of my molars right down to the nerve and below the gums 2 days ago. I had alot of swelling and pain so I went to the walk in clinic yesterday night to see the on call doc ( I was unable to get an app with my doc ) she recommended that I see a dentist right away and that just because I am pregnant doest mean I cant have something done for my tooth. Anyways this morning I managed to get an app with a dentist. After taking a single xray it was discovered that the tooth was abscessed, non repairable and also had another tooth trying to grow in underneath it. I ended up having the tooth pulled. The dentist was well aware that I am 8 weeks pregnant. He used local anaesthetic and nitrous oxide to yank the sucker. He told me that both were ok during pregnancy and that the baby would be fine. I am panicking now because I googled nitrous oxide in early pregnancy and nothing that I read has been good. Im so scared and regretting having the tooth pulled :-(

People who don't pay attention while they walk, are you one of them?

When I'm walking about, say to the supermarket, I force myself to look at the ground to see any obstacles while walking, other than that, if I let myself wander inside my head, I suddenly could find myself twisting an ankle over a bump, or be bruised by some nasty thing on the ground. I happen to live in a place where supermarkets are crappy, but still, when I have a lot on my head, like an exam, I walk to the sky, so to speak, eager to get home, or get to the coffee shop to study. Problem is every year I suffer a very minor injury because of this (scrape, cut, bruised foot), while I'm the only one around with this problem, it seems. Does this happen to you ? I feel guilty because I 'am this way, but I describe myself, I concluded, as an energetic girl with a lot on her mind. That's the main problem, slowing down my head while walking, rather than having walking stimulate my thoughts even further that I don't pay attention any more. I've been playing the piano for over 9 years now and for the past 7 years I have been going to the Mid-American-musical-association (MAMA). I kept telling them i didn't want to go, so they also complained and told me how disappointed they were and other crap. I knew that they would keep saying that all year long so i finally told them whatever I'll go. So now I have to learn how to memorize "Prelude And Fugue NO. 21 In B-Flat Major by:J.S Bach" and "Polonaise in A Major by:Chopin" within one month. Now my parents are telling me to practice the piano everyday for at least 2 hours. I love playing the piano, but I think this is going way too far for me. I personally believe that by going to the M.A.M.A I'm wasting my talent. I REALLY want to teach myself how to play popular music in this generation. I've already taught myself how to play songs such as "Just the way you are and grenade by: Bruno Mars" "What i've done, In the end, and Numb by: Linkin Park" and plenty of others. By playing only two songs for a month, I believe that I'm wasting my inner talent. i just got mine pulled a few hours ago. they didnt put me asleep because they said it wasnt necessary. it actually really wasnt that bad. you hear a little grinding but there is NO pain. they also give you pills that make you sleepy so you are kinda out of it during the procedure. it is also a quick procedure. you face will be swollen afterwards and you'll only be able to eat soft foods for a while. they will give you pain medication to take that will likely make you sleepy. dont worry about it. i havent felt any pain yet and when i do, i can just take my medicine. :)

Dentist failed to take my tooth out yesterday…?

IV sedation is your best bet because you will not know what is going on and you will not feel pain , until your medication wears off . Oh yes I had one general dentist that pull a wisdom tooth . I thought she was going to kill me. She was rough. I thought she told me my wisdom tooth was straight it would be no pain, but it was. It felt like she put a charlie horse in my jaw while pulling my wisdom tooth. The last wisdom teeth I got pulled out was all three. I went to an oral surgeon to get it done under Iv sedation. You will be in like twilight sleep. You are still awake but so out of it. You will not remember anything or feel nothing while your tooth is getting pull. When they wake you up you will not even know they are finish. To you the procedure will seem like it was done in 5-8 minutes. That how the medication works.

Home inspection gone wrong?

My husband and I recently came to an agreement on an offer on a home. The house is 5 years old and we decided to do a home inspection for our safety. My husband was unable to attend the home inspection but I was able. When I arrived at the home the sellers were still inside and I felt very uncomfortable that I immediately called the realtor and told her. She called the sellers agent and told them they need to be gone from the home because its an awkward situation and when purchasing a home you need to be able to ask questions freely without offending the sellers. They said they would be gone by a certain time and when I returned the inspection was already over and the sellers were still inside. When talking to the inspector he said when they asked if they had to leave he told them no. He said the house was cluttered and he couldn't see everything. DSi stolen, no concrete proof, wat do?

I had a Nintendo DSi console with Lego case attached, an 8GB SDHC card, a DS game (Wario-Ware DIY), and a bunch of dsiware dlc sitting next to me on a desk untouched for a week or two. Now my room's kind of cluttered with boxes and stuff so when I noticed it was gone it took a while to look everywhere because I initially thought it was just lost. However, this "friend" of mine who I only ever let in the house out of sympathy more than anything else visited 3 days in a row shortly before I noticed the disappearance of the DSi. I still have the receipts and proof of ownership for everything, but that won't do any good if it's been sold for £30 at GAME already. He is from a large family (15+ and counting), a chav mafia of sorts, so I can’t beat it out of him, and I don’t know what I can do. I’ve checked all of his family’s facebook pages for a “DSi Photos” album that gets created when you upload photos from a DSi, nothing, and I’ve sent him a message to come round my house which he ignored, and commented on his status to which he hasn’t replied. So I'm going tomorrow to have both these done as I've had a few problems for about 8 months now and nobody seems to know the cause or what it actually is. Pregnancy and dental work = Scared?

I broke off a quarter of one of my molars right down to the nerve and below the gums 2 days ago. I had alot of swelling and pain so I went to the walk in clinic yesterday night to see the on call doc ( I was unable to get an app with my doc ) she recommended that I see a dentist right away and that just because I am pregnant doest mean I cant have something done for my tooth. Anyways this morning I managed to get an app with a dentist. After taking a single xray it was discovered that the tooth was abscessed, non repairable and also had another tooth trying to grow in underneath it. I ended up having the tooth pulled. The dentist was well aware that I am 8 weeks pregnant. He used local anaesthetic and nitrous oxide to yank the sucker. He told me that both were ok during pregnancy and that the baby would be fine. I am panicking now because I googled nitrous oxide in early pregnancy and nothing that I read has been good. Im so scared and regretting having the tooth pulled

My fiance and I live together in Hollywood, California. We are 21 years-old. It's great because we are trying to build careers in the entertainment industry. Only problem is, for me I cannot be creative here. The high-stress superficial city environment is starting to clutter my mind. My fiance is in school now so he will either look for job placement (record label, recording studio, television network station etc.) or continue his schooling. So I'm thinking Miami would be a good location because the entertainment industry is prominent but I just don't want to be in the heart of a major city again--maybe a more laid back surrounding area? Also I would DEFINITELY like to move somewhere where the cost of living DECREASES from here in LA, California. I want to rent cheap so I can save more money and eventually look into us buying when we find a place we can see ourselves staying. From my understanding, South Beach is lovely but pricey. I would also look into Ft. Lauder dale, Boca Raton, IDK even Orlando is a possibility but I know it's not by the beach, which is a bummer. Any other suggestions? Any feedback? I really like my hairy chest and as a result of a recent hospital treatment - I underwent Cardioversion, the nurse in the anaesthetic room shaved 2 areas of my very hairy chest to allow better adherence of the paddles. TOTAL blindness was no big deal for my ferret. Half blindness shouldn't throw him off at all. It's a pretty simple procedure and shouldnt take long at all, meaning less anesthetic. It was a LOT bigger deal to clear out the mucus and he went through it like a trooper :) Being bigger will also be a great help, as teeny tinies are a lot more sensitive. Make sure he has a good drink in the evening, but I wouldn't give it to him after that. You don't want him vomiting water under anesthesia. Oh, I would also make sure they use the same type of anesthesia that they did before since that particular one didn't bother him. Don't worry too much, your baby'll be fine

Honey ur surgeon is the best person and legally obligated to explain these details if he has not do not sign the consent form they will give u upon arriving.u will go to a room and be asked to undressl. If ur feeling anxious or afraid the nurse may have an order for u to have a sedative. Ur vital signs will be taken. U will undress with no underwear or jewlrey or contact lenses only a hospital gown, put on a hair cap once undressed u'll get the IV and the machine and tubing will b hung. The iv itself isnt usually painful n will go anywhr they can find a good vein. If ur an easy stick it will b in the top of ur hand or forearm. Make sure to stay well hydrated the days leading up to the surgery it makes ur veins fluffy n easier to stick n less discomforts. They ask u when u last eat or drink make sure to follow the rules on not eating or drinking the day b4 the surgery. The surgeon will brief u. Once ur operating room is ready they will roll ur bed to the room. Inside there they will have u transferred to a table. They will secure ur arms n legs onto the table. A mask will be placed over ur mouth and they may ask u to count to 1-10. Before u get past 2 u'll be out. Once ur out ur eyes will be taped, they will do the head tilt chin lift n a tube will be inserted to keep ur airway patent. The surgeon will perform his procedure. U will be sewn may or not have nasal packing, and be sent to the recovery room to return to consciousness. U may feel nauseated and vomit depending on how anesthesia effects u. U will b given pain medicine. u will b discharged after ur stable whether that is same day or not. I had a nasal septoplasmy a few yrs ago n I am not going to lie. It hurts like a mother flipping *****, my nose bled for 3-4 day. If u get nasal packing it feels like enormously pressure around ur face n eyes. In fact it may black ur eyes and bruise them for a week or so. U wont b able to breathe out of ur nose and its very uncomfortable to sleep. It hurts. Then I had splints in both nostrils for two months so I had major discomfort. I will never have another nose surgery unless its life or death. Good luck. I hope ur recovery is quickly. Remember u will b on pain meds n they do help. Just wanted to b honest about how the pain. I lost my sense of taste for a few weeks n didn't eat anything but some Easter candy cause food felt strange in my mouth without having taste. I cried because everything about the recovery was. Terrible. At a follow up appt with the doctor he suctioned some clots out n I thought my sinus cavity was caving in it hurt so bad.

When my son was born I had huge trouble trying to breast-feed and was forced to stop after 6 weeks when my milk dried up. I had a bad experience with my 1st labour. First I had 5 different midwives, no-one was really telling me what to do or even how to use the gas and air properly. One midwife shouted at me for throwing up on the floor because i couldn't get to the sink fast enough, then they stitched me up the wrong way and I had to have another operation under general anesthetic 3 months later to correct the sutures. It was a nightmare. Needless to say I have never been back at that hospital again.

After a local anaesthetic is it normal to feel low psychologically when living with MS?

I've only had a local anaesthetic once, but I felt fine afterward. I am not a doctor, but I can't think of anything in the anaesthetic that would affect your mood. My first thought would be that you are feeling low due to the stress of whatever procedure you had done.

My dog was neutered yesterday & he died today?

I can't breathe. I don't know how this could've happened. Someone please tell me if you know anything about this. He's a pug & I had a meeting with the doctor prior to the surgery to make sure he knew how to deal with pugs, the anaesthetic, their breathing issues, the pallet, etc. and he assured me he has operated on many pugs & bulldogs. I have been downloading music and stuff on our mac and now i feel that all my music/pictures will clutter up my moms desktop, so she said i could make another user account. I just want to know if that will slow down our computer a lot.

Is it normal for toddlers/preschoolers to go through an concern with details/OCD phase?

My 2 1/2 year old does the door thing too. He has watched us close doors so many times, he figures that is what you do with an open door. It's kind of irritating when I am trying to get something out of the bottom drawer in the refrigerator and he wanders over and shuts the door on my head or when I am trying to load the dishwasher and he closes it after every dish, but I figure it's a phase.

It's okay. You just have to remember that you and your boyfriend are doing what's best for you as a couple, and who gets engaged first ultimately doesn't matter as much as how the marriage turns out...which, in her case, does not sound like cause for optimism. Frankly, as her friend, I would set aside the jealousy and the joking and encourage her to think about whether this is really what she wants. (If she says yes, at least you've tried.)

Some organizers you can fit on your desk or under is great for storing anything like pencils, pens, erasers, etc. I have made some cute pencil holders out of a coffee can. You just wrap it in some cute paper (wrapping paper) and you can leave it like that or add more. You can put stickers, a bow, etc.

Can I force my adult son to accept help?

My nearly 30 year old son is on a downward spiral. He has a history of prescription drug abuse. Now he is on a prescribed drug from some type of clinic that replaces the hydrocodone that he used to get illegally. He's also on zoloft for depression. He has lost everything, most recently his job of 4 years and his wife of 3 years. He takes advantage of friends and family, borrowing and never returning money and food. His landlord has just filed for eviction. I've been providing a car and insurance, and lately gas. Often I give him money or stock his fridge. His rental trailer is cluttered and dirty beyond description. He lives in a fantasy world of lies, failed plans, and unfulfilled promises. Many days he can't get out of bed. Usually he won't answer his cell phone which I also provide to him. I think my son is a suicide waiting to happen. I am at a loss for direction for him or me. I've been told that I should call police to report his lack of interest in life. I do not know what to do or not do. I am open for suggestions. I have offered a room in my home until he gets 'straightened out'. He wants no part of that. I hope to not hear from those who can not constructively contribute intelligent information. Thank you.

IKR our presence is so powerful its intimidating yet sexual. We can cause a whole room to go quiet when its loud. And thats funny. because when i am pissed off (And i hide it really good) some people know I'm mad as hell. Not everyone but close friends only. Signs of pain in a dog?

My dog had oral surgery yesterday to remove a cyst from his jaw, when he came home yesterday afternoon, he was still drowsy from the anaesthetic, but as the night went on he started to look distressed. He starting pawing at the side of his mouth, and pacing up and down the lounge and wasnt sure if he wanted to stand, sit or lay down, so kept getting up and moving. Are these signs I should go back to the vet for pain relief or am I over-reacting???

Opinion on organization for TV freaks?

I'm so sorry to hear that your tiel is not well. I don't have any tiel's but I have 'keets and they love spray millets, maybe you should try that and some cuttle bone. Since your tiel has come this far, is go with the surgery because if you put him to sleep, you will always wonder whether or not you've done the right thing, and he may seem weak, but you never know, he might just get through the surgery, if not, at least he was given a chance. Fiance troubles!! what to do?

my fiance hits me and all that stuff and gets extremely shitty with me over nothing. i am so over it, i want to leave but we have a child and one on the way! he was perfect when we first got together then he slowly got worse, but he started being good again after i told him i would leave if he didnt! now he has decided he is going to be a jerk again!! My pet rat just died and im worried about my other one getting lonely.?

i had 2 rats and one of them had a problem where he kept having fits and seizures, there was nothing we could do but one day he had a particularly bad one and his back legs stopped working, we had to take the other rat out the cage and let him eat because he was so week he couldn't get to his food before the other rat. Then his tooth started growing oddly and it was pressing into his check and causing him pain so we took him to the vets and spent �30 to have it trimmed back. We thought he would be fine but then the tooth grew back oddly again, we took him to the vets the have the same operation but he couldn't withstand the anaesthetic and died. Now im really worried the other rat might die of loneliness because his companion's gone. please help me. :(

I think I may be O.C.D, and possibly paranoid.?

I've been focusing on things like this recently, and it has come to my attention that I seem likely to have O.C.D. The first instance of O.C.D like behavior I can remember is from when I was a little child. When I would ride in the car I would always look out the window, and watch the objects. Then I would count them. While others were talking to me during this I would count every word they said on the objects going past me and if their sentence didn't work out to be totally even I would break things up, clump things together, add in, or take out words. This really interfered with my listening, and by the time I noticed I was doing this it had been a few years and I found it difficult to stop. I still do this sometimes. Then once I had, for the most part, corrected this annoying error I began to grind my teeth to the syllables of things others said to me, and occasionally to what I said as well. Then began my germ phobia. It was completely unreasonable, and yet I still have it for the most part. I felt that everything was dirty, my own hands were always dirty, etc. If something were to compromise the cleanliness of a surface, even after it had been properly cleaned and relentlessly disinfected, I would feel that the germs were still there and it would, in my mind, render the object untouchable/unusable. I would wash my hands five or six times and always up to my elbows (sometimes higher) after little things like using the restroom, touching a remote control, touching a counter top, having used cleaning products on something, etc. Occasionally I find myself afraid of having picked up germs from an object I merely saw or considered touching, but did not so much as get near it. For a short period of time I found myself unwilling to touch my food, as I believed my hands would compromise the foods sanitation. So, I ate everything by picking it up with my mouth or a utensil such as a fork rather than my hands. This went even for potato chips or french fries; even a banana (very difficult). I eventually overcame this by washing my hands multiple times before I ate anything. I find I believe everything to be dirty. I re-wash dishes before I eat off of them even when I take them out of the dish drainer and they've only been washed moments before. Also, I am somewhat of a slob. But then I find after the room being messy only for a few minutes due to my slob habits that I go into mad Nazi-cleaning mode. I vacuum and dust and polish and organize and sort through and throw away. I even organize my clutter to be arranged in what I find to be a more appealing manor. As far as my personal hygiene, when I first get in the show I wash my hands with soap before I begin washing myself. Then after washing myself I was my hands with soap again. This keeps going on until I'm finished with my shower. This could just be my anger issues, but I get angry at myself for doing something wrong, even the slightest thing (for example, using an abbreviation that is for the most part useless), and find that I have a sort of compulsive need to fix the error, whatever it may be. This also comes in to play with my grammar, as I'm sure you have noticed. The slightest spelling mistakes make me freak out. Also, in a subject that I feel I'm right on, I absolutely REFUSE to allow someone to tell me otherwise. I am wholly unable to take criticism, even if it is constructive. Also, sometimes I feel a random need to get up and pace. I can pace for hours upon hours while not feeling like it has been more than five minutes. If for some reason I am unable to pace around I get this odd feeling, as though I literally need to be doing it, as though it were important and absolutely imperative that the task was performed. Also, as I'm sure of you have read, I have self-harmed (mostly in the past, I've been trying to quit) and each time I did so I always left three cuts/burns/bruises. Although this may not tie in here, as I created something for each to stand for (1: Punishment 2: Control 3: Clarity). Often times I find myself (unjustifiably) feeling absolutely superior to those around me. As though I can grasp things they cannot. In groups I feel that I have to be the one to do all the work as I'm the only one who can perform the task given correctly. I realize the others are capable of doing just as well as I, and possibly better, but I cannot help but feel otherwise. I also think I'm paranoid. This is due to the fact that on more occasion than one I've wondered whether or not someone was watching me; this occurs when I am completely alone. Sometimes I feel the need to correct my thoughts so that they might be appropriate in the event that anyone around me could somehow read minds. I also find when I'm at home I am extremely suspicious of my mother. She does not trust me and I find that I sometimes feel as though she may have installed cameras to watch me. I will admit to literally looking into things searching

You can. Since you are talking about a business, use commercial equipment. Use only 1 DHCP server for the entire site. Otherwise, each router will act like its own entity and that is bad.

Looks good. I think you have most of the stuff covered. I would suggest a baby bathtub though. You can bathe them in the sink but it will be difficult to hold the baby in one hand and wash him with the other without slipping. Bathtubs are pretty cheap. I also think you should get baby lotions and creams. They are different then ones for adults even if they are the allergy-safe, sensitive skin kind.
