If I wear gloves can I still get bit?

Ok, so I found out I have brown recluses in my house. I'm having someone come out to spray, but first they said I should get rid of all the cardboard boxes, clean the closets, and anywhere else there is any clutter...Because that's where they like to hide. I have been reading about them and I noticed a lot of people have been bit while cleaning. I was wondering if I wore rubber gloves or any other kind if I could still get bit??
