Are animals still slaughtered bloodily and violently?

I recently watched a video (a href="http://www.meatvideo.com)" rel="nofollow"http://www.meatvideo.com)/a after seeing an advert titled "The video the meat industry doesn't want you to see" and was highly disturbed by the shocking amount of violence and pain these animals are subjected to and the barbaric 'operations' they have to go through without anaesthetic. I was aware these sorts of bloody and cruel things happened, but thought they happened in minority and not anywhere near the UK or USA, because of all the labels on everything now saying "Fairtrade" and "Free Range", but now I see that is clearly not the case. Is anybody else aware of this massacre of animals just because of human wants? The video isn't even the usual vegan people saying the horrible things that happen in these farms, but is shows uncensored, raw shocking content which I do not want to see again. Please, Please, I am begging you, if you read this, go to their website and see for yourself what if happening behind the general public's back!
