If i wipe my hard drive, will i keep windows 7?

i have a ton of viruses and clutter and whatnot and want to start over with my pc. originally it had vista on it so i installed windows 7 a while ago. if i wipe this, will i need another windows 7 product key/serial key/activation key or whatever you wanna call it?
