Opinion on organization for TV freaks?

I have a bunch of box sets for all my TV shows. And TV is my hobby. Im even thinking of majoring in Cinema because of it. But The boxes are cluttering up my room. Should I get rid of the boxes and put the disc in a disc holder thingi or keep it?
