Should i date him? 10 points!?

I've had a slight crush on this guy (will call him BOB) and i know he has a big crush on me. My best friend talks to BOB too and he told her he was going to ask me out tomorrow. He's super funny and he's usually really nice but im concerned if i'll ever see him because it's summer and we can't drive. My best friend use to hate him and all of a sudden thinks he's my perfect match. Is that a good sign? Pleaeaeaeaeaeaeaeaeaease help! My mind is so cluttered and i think if i were to have a relationship it would be better in the summer because i don't have a busy schedule let alone any. Again a future thank you and it'll be a huge relief.
